      Indian Navy Recruitment For Sailor Vacancy 2013

      Recruitment Summary: Indian Navy invited nmarried Male Indian Citizen from Tamil Nadu to participate In the Recruitment Drive Scheduled at Chennai On 12 Sep 2013 For Sailor Entry, Senior Secondary Recruits (SSR) – 01/2014 Batch, apply before 12/09/2013.

       Educational Qualification : +2 With MATH PHYSICS as a compulsory subject , or Optional subjects  Biology,Chemistry, Computers.

       Age Limit  : 01 Feb 1993 to 31 Jan 1997. 

      Selection Process : Selection of recruits is based on the order of merit depending on their performance in Written Test, Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and fitness in the Medical Examinations.
      1. Physical Fitness Test (PFT) : PFT will consist of 1.6 Km run to be completed in 7 minutes, 20 squat ups (Uthak Baithak) and 10 Pushups. Candidates undergoing PFT will do so at their own risk. Candidates are to bring their sports shoes and shorts for PFT.
      2. Medical Standards and procedure for Medical Examination :  As prescribed in current regulations applicable to sailors on entry.
      3. Final Enrolment Medical Examination : All select list candidates who are issued with a call letter for Final Medical examination will have to undergo a Final.
      How to Apply: Candidate should apply with detailed bio data to Indian Naval ShipAdyar, C/o Navy Office, Port Complex, Raji Road, Chennai-600 009 latest by 12.09.2013.

      DOCUMENTS :

      (a) Application is to be filled in capital letters with one recent Passport size photograph pasted at the top right corner and one spare recent Passport size photos with the candidate's name written on the reverse attached along with the form (In the absence of recent photograph candidate will not be allowed to appear in the examination).

      (b) Attested copy (by Gazetted officer only, indicating name, designation and phone Numbers below signature) of the following certificates:-

      (i) Matric /equivalent certificate for verification of date of birth.

      (ii) Mark sheet and certificate of Diploma/Higher Board examination/ Matriculation as applicable.

      (iii) Domicile certificate.

      (c) Two self addressed envelopes of size 22 x 10 cms with Rs 10/- stamp affixed on one envelope and one envelope without stamp is to be submitted along with the application form.(White colour envelop for AA entry and brown colour for SSR/MR/NMR entry). On top of the envelope containing the application the Type of Entry, name of District, Percentage in exam and name of Exam passed is to be clearly written.

      • Eligible shortlisted candidates are sent Call-Up letters, indicating date, time and place for examination as scheduled. The shortlisted candidates can also download their admit card from this website.
